A PLACE TO GATHER.

When I think about this building, I hope that it brings joy. Carries brightness into a person’s day and projects a feeling of playfulness and fun {while still meaning business, of course}. I want people to be able to leave themselves and the world at the door and enter…to play.

When I was a kid, one of our favorite summertime activities was running back behind our house to the woods. Forever and always escaping chores and rules to flee to the cluster of tall trees dancing in the wild near the curve of the creek. Hours upon hours, we’d play; build tree forts, imagine rousing escapades and climb as tall as the limbs would carry us. We’d whoop and scream, chase each other and laugh until tears streamed down our cheeks, only heading home when our stomachs grumbled or we heard Mom calling. Yes, the wild wood was my favorite place to be.

So enter here, to the WildWood of now. I urge you to let yourself go and use your imagination, engage with those around you and remember what it was like to not have to focus on anything, but rather just immerse yourself in the simple joy of life. Let the feeling of fun and energy and sunshine wash over you.

Welcome to WildWood.
